All In Good Taste

Producing artwork for customers is a reflection of life itself. It's amazing how tastes vary for person to person, even different genders and age groups. Sometimes we wonder where some of the artwork will be displayed. We imagine that the cherished group family photos have pride of place in the living room, whereas the black and white image of Miles Davis in his cool jazz prime is in his master's listening room.

At digitalphoto2canvas we're lucky enough to see some wonderful original work, worthy of any art gallery in the country - and quite often we get to thinking what hobbies and interests some of our customers have.

As a photographer a great resource of inspiration is Flickr which has become very popular over the past few years. There are literally hundreds of thousands of images covering every topic you can think of - if photography is your hobby it should be one of your bookmarks. Landscapes, cityscapes, sport, nature it's all there - some of it won't be to everyone's taste - but variety is the spice of life!

So as we enjoy the last of the summer months and start looking forward to Christmas it may be worth thinking about a gift for your nearest and dearest. And I can tell you from experience that the best received presents are the gifts you've thought through and put some personal time and effort into. Sure you can go to an online store and have a hamper delivered - the same hamper that's being delivered to thousands of other homes. But a family photo or an image that means something special to the one you love shows you care and are thinking about them.
